MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT SERVICES

Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health/ (LACDMH)

View Heights Convalescent Hospital is proud of its affiliation with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health/ (LACDMH).  We are a contracted provider for the LACDMH.  We support the partner mission statement of the LACDMH as follows:

“In partnering with clients, families and communities to create culturally competent opportunities for Hope, Wellness and Recovery, the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health is committed to serving, improving and making a difference in the lives of Los Angeles County residents diagnosed with mental illness. Services typically provided in these agencies are: assessment, therapy, medication, case management/brokerage, crisis intervention, and other supportive services related to housing, prevocational and employment. These services are intended to reduce psychiatric symptoms, increase independent functioning and self-reliance so that individuals can achieve the fullest and most productive life possible. The Recovery Model is the framework for all adult services and is based on the belief that adults diagnosed with a mental illness can lead productive lives by seeking and maintaining meaningful relationships through employment, education, or volunteer work, and participating fully in their community.”
